PASSPORT SERVICES

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed Form "A"
  • Completed Form "B "/ 89. The High Commission will sign for LC5.
  • Completed Consular Registration Form.
  • Two (2) Passport Size photographs must be bright, show all facial features and both ears. The photographs should have a clear white background.
  • The old passport to be replaced
  • Processing time:  Between 2 weeks - One month.

In case of emergency, please include a written request to the mission to expedite your case. It should contain an explanation.

PASSPORTS FOR CHILDREN / MINORS / INFANTS

Requirements:

  • Completed Form "A"
  • Completed Form "B"
  • Completed Consular Registration Form.
  • Two (2) recent Passport Photographs
  • Passport in which applicant is endorsed (as applicable), including Page showing file no:
  • Original Birth Certificate.
  • Copies of Both Parents Passports
  • Fee R 500 (Banking details below)
  • Bank Name: Standard Bank

    Reference: Applicant's name

  • Processing time: One month.

CHANGE OF HOLDER'S PARTICULARS ON PASSPORTS

Requirements:

  • Formal (written) requests for changes to be made
  • Completed Consular Registration Form
  • One Passport Size Photograph

NOTE:All requests for changes of holder's particulars must be accompanied by original supporting documents. Applicants for change of name, as a result of marriage will be processed at the Mission on presentation of an original Marriage Certificate. Change of names as a result of other circumstances will have to be published in the Uganda Gazette. The Deed Poll Should be published in at least one of the Ugandan newspaper. Original copies of the Deed Poll, the Gazette and/or the Ugandan newspapers containing the change of name must be submitted to the Mission and will be retained.

TEMPORARY EMERGENCY TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Requirements:

  • Completed Form"A"
  • Completed Consular Registration Form
  • Three (3) Passport Size Photographs
  • For a lost Passport - Police Report

Application for the replacement of lost passports will NOT be processed at the High Commission.Those cases will also be referred to Internal Affairs for Citizenship Verification.

NOTE: Passports reported lost will be declared Null and Void. Relevant authorities in Uganda and all countries abroad including South Africa will be informed accordingly.


IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Applicants for Passports / Travel Documents must be citizens of Uganda
  • All application forms must be fully completed. Uncompleted application forms will not be processed.
  • Applicants are advised to verify and ensure that all requirements have been fulfilled. This will facilitate the expeditious processing of applications.
  • Applications by post must be accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed registered enveloped / DHL return instructions.
  • Applicants are requested to deposit the exact amount of fees payable.
